Job: Strategic Marketing and Government Policy Leader, NA Gurgaon in Sohna, Haryana
The Strategic Marketing and Government Policy Leader shall lead a team of one or two individuals and work closely with the Business P&L leader to plan and drive business growth via market identification, targeted market strategy development and shaping of government policy and regulations to create an advantage for GE products and solutions.
Essential Responsibilities
• Plan and Drive Growth
o Plan and execute targeted market research. Analyze results and draw inferences for GEs positioning and growth
o Work with individual businesses on Go-To-Market positioning, market segmentation, focus area development, etc.
o Build relationships with industry bodies and governments and represent GE at Industry bodies such as CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, etc.
o Work closely with Operating Leaders to plan and implement Rhythms and Processes (QMIs, Pipeline Reviews, Training, Market Outreach)
• Influence Policy and Regulations
o Lead efforts to understand and map Water Policy Makers/Influencers and Government Ministries/Urban Local Bodies (ULBs)
o Network and build relationships with policy makers and decision makers in Govt. departments like MOEF, MOUD, MOWR, etc. and with various National (NRCD, JNUURM, etc.) and International Funding agencies like the World Bank, ADB, JICA etc.
o Lead efforts to understand how policies are framed and how are they transformed into legislation/regulation. Influence policy/regulation to drive more stringent standards for drinking water and wastewater that favor the use of membrane filtration and other GE products
o Understand budget source, their relationship with decision makers and plan/non-plan expenditures – How is money allocated/spent and by whom?
• Market Connect and Reach
o Own brand communication in all external media
o Lead design & execution of print & television campaigns, and digital campaigns including videos, website led initiatives, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google campaigns
o Plan & execute mass awareness / email campaigns
o Organize & manage GE sponsored events
o Maintain GE India website & facilitate enquiry generation
